North Bengal is basically the north side of River Ganga of West Bengal, that means a vast area of Northern West Bengal covering the districts Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Jalpaiguri, Alipurduar, Cooch Behar, Uttar Dinajpur, Dakshin Dinajpur and Malda. In these districts, some are blessed with the Great Himalaya and the foot hills of these mountains. Darjeeling and Kalimpong districts are mainly glorified with the beauty of the foothill of the great Himalaya. The world famous ‘ Queen of Hill’ Darjeeling city is situated in Darjeeling districts. But not only Darjeeling, there are a few numbers of Himalayn city and town and a plenty numbers of Himalayan village in Darjeeling and Kalimpong districts. Among these villages, most of the places had not been so famous for the non availability of luxury accommodations and life style, but these places are popular among the true nature lovers, travelers and bird watchers. Darjeeling and Kalimpong are main 2 cities of North Bengal Hills. How to Reach North Bengal Hill
Nearest Airport : Bagdogra Airport (IXB). This is the only airport in North Bengal which connects maximum metro cities of India. Though Newly opened Pakyong Airport is also there, but the flight frequency is less here than Bagdogra Airport.
Nearest Railway Station : New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP). This is a big Railway Station in North Bengal, which connects almost all metro cities of India.
