Temi Tea Garden is the only tea garden in the entire Sikkim state. The tea of Temi tea Garden is appreciated for its taste and flavour. This tea garden is on the southern side of Sikkim, a Himalayan state at the lap of nature. How to reach Temi

Nearest Airport: Bagdogra Airport is the nearest airport to Temi. The distance from Bagdogra to Temi is about 119 kilometres by road and takes more or less 4 and half hours to reach.

Pakyong Airport is the nearest to Temi, but it is not accessible from all the cities.

Nearest Railway Station: NJP or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station is the nearest railway station to Temi. From NJP to Temi, it is about 115 kilometres by driving and takes more or less 4 and half hours to reach.

What to see in Temi / Places to visit near Temi

1) Temi Tea Garden: Temi Tea garden is one of the most admired tourist points in south Sikkim – that is not only for the quality of tea but also for the scenic beauty and serenity of this place. Mount Khanchendzonga is visible from here along with its sister peaks.

2) Buddha Park: Buddha Park is one of the renowned visiting places in South Sikkim near Temi Tea Garden. A tall statue of Gautam Buddha has been built there. The distance between these two places is about 20 kilometres.

3) Ralong Monastery: Ralong Monastery is a beautiful and premium monastery located in South Sikkim. The distance between Ralong Monastery and Temi tea garden is about 24 kilometres by road. So it is easily accessible to visit this superior monastery by staying in or nearer to Temi.

4) Chardham: Chardham is a small replica of the original Chardham Yatra Temples. The temple premises are neat and clean and very well maintained. You can feel inner peace while visiting the place. From Temi tea garden, this beautiful Chardham is about 23 kilometres by road.

 Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit Temi is from March to June and October to November, when the tea gardens are active and the weather stays clear. This is Sikkim’s only tea estate, spread across wide rolling slopes. You can walk through rows of tea bushes, watch workers plucking leaves, and see how the landscape changes with the season. On clear days, distant views of Kanchenjunga appear beyond the hills. Monsoon turns everything deep green but often brings clouds and rain.
