What To See : 

Ramiteydunga View Point: A 2.5 km hike from Dhotrey village, this viewpoint offers a 270 degree view of the Kanchenjunga mountain range, Sikkim, and Bhutan. It's recommended to visit in the early morning to see the sunrise.

Tonglu: A 6–7 km trek from Dhotrey, Tonglu is a popular stop for tourists on the Sandakphu–Phalut trek. The route to Tonglu passes through a dense pine forest.

Singalila National Park: A place to see the Kanchenjunga mountain range, surrounded by pine forests and clouds. Some say it's one of the best places to see the Sleeping Buddha.

Sukhiyapokhri, Phalut, and Tumling: Other places to visit for sightseeing. Lava Jamgyong Kongtrul Monastery: A religious site.

By Road Dhotrey is well connected by road, making it accessible for those driving their own vehicles. The most common route is through the National Highway 10 from Siliguri to Darjeeling. Here are some of the key points to consider:

      From Siliguri: If you are starting your journey from Siliguri, follow NH10 towards Darjeeling. After about 64 kilometers, you will reach Ghoom. Look for signs directing you towards Dhotrey; you can take the diversion from the Ghoom area.

      From Darjeeling: If you are already in Darjeeling, the distance to Dhotrey is approximately 20 kilometers. The route offers stunning views, so make sure to enjoy the scenic beauty along the way. Local taxis are available, or you can hire a private cab.

Monsoon brings dense fog and slippery paths, while winters are cold with occasional frost.
